Is poetry just a genre, or is it also
a form of consciousness? In this program, we are going to see
how film and poetry can meet, and perhaps learn where they both
come from in terms of the arts. Do they think in similar terms?
Is poetry a form of awareness that applies equally to literary
and visual arts? Do poetry and film share a world of
metaphors, associations, and abstractions of time? How do the
arts shape our experience of the world?
Elisabetta will present her photography and short films, and Veronica will read her poems. The presentations together will last one hour, then there will be a discussion with the audience to explore the correlations between the literary and visual arts. This will be the 21st salon we have presented in our Taos studio which seats up to 60 people. We hope to see you there. All are welcome and the event is free.
